What TAFE Study Options are Available to Me in Queensland?
TAFE Queensland
If you take Queensland TAFE’s word for it, Queensland is not just the Sunshine State; it’s also the Smart State. So, it’s only right that ’s TAFE courses meet the requirements of the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF), and are well recognised for their high-quality offerings.
TAFE Certificates, Diplomas, Advanced Diplomas, Graduate Certificates and Graduate Diplomas are all available. Apprenticeship and traineeship programs are also offered for specific trades. Courses and training programs are available in several different formats; Full-time, part-time, online, on-campus, blended, and workplace-based.

Short courses
If you’re not entirely sure what you want to study, you can always start off with a short course. Short courses can be used to suss out a particular field. But that’s not all; they are also great for people who want to develop their hobbies, and are perfect for professionals who need to brush up their skills, as well as for employers who want to give their employees some additional training.
QLD TAFE offers two kinds of short courses: Accredited short courses that result in a Statement of Attainment (which is what professionals and students are looking for), and non-accredited short courses, or Adult Community Education (ACE) courses (which is where you’ll find the hobbyists).
Queensland TAFE Institutes
TAFE Queensland is made up of 5 TAFE institutes which are spread across the state to provide quality education to people no matter where they live. The institutes, in turn, consist of several different campuses, many of which specialise in certain fields of study.
